Beware: Do Not Read This Poem Essay
“Mirrors, Mirrors, Mirrors good for your reflection”. “Tonite thriller was about an old women so vain she surrounded herself with many mirrors”, The words spoken by Ishmael Reed in his poem Beware: Do Not Read This Poem. Ishmael Reed poem can change a whole view on mirrors. Mirrors while good for your self-esteem just not safe for reflection in this poem.
First of all I like this poem by Ishmael Reed Beware: Do Not Read This Poem. From beginning to end I enjoyed this poem by Ishmael Reed. Surprised by the excitement and thrilling text used in this poem by Ishmael Reed. Awesome is the word that describes this poem, the expression, the concept, and vocabulary. Reed’s vocabulary, very historic he used his words with passion. Ishmael made his poem like a classic story that’s always passed down by someone else, a griot for example.
Next reason why I enjoyed Beware: Do Not Read This Poem because I understood the poem. Understandable and easy to follow, some of the things in this poem caught my attention. Passion in his writing, he used a good voice writing this poem. Still I understood where Ishmael Reed was going with telling the story. While reading this I didn’t get confused reading Beware: Do Not Read This Poem.
Best reason why I like the poem by Ishmael Reed. Really interested in the poem, I felt good reading the poem. Usually I read poems that talk about love and other dumb stuff. This poem was different and it never got boring like most of the poems I’ve read in my lifetime. Outstanding poem by Mr. Reed. You could find a small amount of horror story found behind this poem. Disappearing through mirrors brought an awesome visual to my imagination.
This poem was wonderful, outstanding poem by Ishmael Reed. Good and Interesting I love this poem. Extraordinary poem the concept of the poem thrilling, interesting, and understandable.
